Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, on the west side, I was surrounded by culture, character, and art from a young age. It was the vibrant and striking murals adorning the walls of my neighborhood that initially piqued my interest in the arts, inspiring me to pick up a pencil and begin honing my skills as a creative. It wasn't until my freshman year of high school, however, that I truly began to take my craft seriously. My art teacher at Sidney Lanier High School played a pivotal role in helping me realize my potential and ignite a passion for painting, which has remained with me ever since.
As I embarked upon my journey as an artist, I soon discovered that my community, my neighbors, and my experiences growing up infused a uniquely personal narrative into each of my pieces. Every brushstroke, line, and color tells a story, one that speaks to the rich history and traditions of my homeland. To this day, I continue to create art with the intention of uplifting and giving back to the community that inspired me.
My vision as an artist is not only to bring joy, laughter, and inspiration to those who view my work, but also to make a tangible difference in my hometown. I am dedicated to contributing to the local arts scene and proud to have my work featured in public spaces throughout my community. My long-term goals as an artist include painting a mural in my neighborhood, exhibiting my work in a museum in San Antonio, and pushing the boundaries of my creativity to create timeless works of art.
As I continue to hone my craft and establish myself within the art world, I am excited to see what the future holds. I am committed to pursuing my passion with dedication and drive, one step at a time, and I look forward to sharing my journey with others along the way.
